I have a theory about happiness. I believe it to be a myth. It’s not true. You don’t find true happiness in this world and I am not even being a pessimist when I say this because I am a very optimistic person by nature, although I don’t seem like it right now but hear me out for a second.
What is happiness? The first thing that comes to mind is probably something that makes you satisfied internally but here is the thing; the satisfaction that has an expiration date is not truly satisfying, is it now? To me, satisfaction is something that if you even do it once in your life, it still lasts forever, till you exist. Any satisfaction that you gather from happiness dies after a certain time and you, as a person again start your run to find this new object that brings you the positivity, that happiness, that satisfaction to be exact that can make you feel a little better.
So, happiness is a myth.
What is not a myth or has permanent satisfaction, it’s peace. It does not matter what sort of peace is it but what matter is that it’s pure enough to make you smile for the rest of your life with the thought that you are going to be okay and the world might be a bad place yet you will still find a light at the end of the tunnel.
Maybe you are sad right now and the last dosage of happiness that you brought from a local achievement that you considered to be an epic mark on a stone a few months ago has faded, remember there is a turning point. Always. Where you start your life again with a new perspective, with new hope and with better intentions that can bring the greatest amount of satisfaction that will never go away and the pills that you took to have some sleep the other night, was nothing but a waste of space on your side table. So, when you start this new journey, this new beginning, look for internal peace this time.
