You’re addicted to drugs
I’m addicted to you
I think of you in the morning before the sun rises,
When in the still of the darkness
My heart feels your presence
Since the first day we met,
I knew you were the one.
God answered my prayers,
you came down from above.
You said you would be here an hour ago
I’m frozen and I’m still waiting
You became my entire world
That scent of you overpowers any drug;
Any depressant, hallucinogen or sedative
will fade in comparison.
It carries twinges of pain .
Love is an addiction
That leads you to it, slowly and painfully
It can be the cure
It can be the disease
They become your cure
They become your poison
That intimacy is a virus;
that will take over you until you surrender yourself completely.
It’s like chaos and peace in mind all at once.
The virus spreads even more strongly
when they love you back…
We’re doing no good,
Just blocking our bodies with an ailment
that can only be cured by poison.
